En inglés el presente simple tambien se utiliza para hablar de:

1) Acciones que se repiten (cada día, siempre, a menudo, a veces o nunca)

Ejemplo

My brother likes rock music.
Español:
A mi hermano le gusta la música rock.

2) Cosas en general

Ejemplo


English:

The sun rises in the morning everyday.
Español:
El sol sale cada día.

3) Arreglos fijos

Ejemplo

The train leaves the station at four o'clock
Español:
El tren deja la estacion a las cuatro en punto.

4) Instrucciones

Formula


Afirmativa:

sujeto + verbo (infinitivo)
You study English.

Negativa:

sujeto + do/does + not + verbo (infinitivo)
You do not study English.

Interrogativa:
do/does + sujeto + verbo (infinitivo) ?
Do you study English?

Interrogativa Negativa:
do/does + sujeto + not + verbo (infinitivo) ?
Do you not study English?

*Recuerda: En ingles, el Present Simple en una frase afirmativa en tercera persona el verbo siempre acaba en s.

Excepciones: Solo se aplican al verbo en tercera persona singular en frases afirmativas:

1) Cuando un verbo acaba en consonante+y esta se convierte a i y se añade es al final del verbo.

Ejemplo:

Verbo To Cry. The baby cries all night.

2) Cuando un verbo acaba en o, s, x, zz, ch, y sh se añade es al final del verbo.

Ejemplo:

Verbo To Go. He goes to the supermarket every Tuesday.
